The company, which has sites in Kendal and Lancaster, is using the new press to print a range of work including stationery, folders and booklets.
Owner Howard Turner claimed the decision to invest in the Presstek followed several years of deliberation. However, he said that the machine has now helped the company to cut the time it takes to print double-sided flyer jobs, thanks to the waterless system.
He said: "It's shaved two days off the time it would have taken us to produce 500 copies of an A5 flyer, printed both sides.
"Added to this, we can take on jobs with solid colours, tight registration and graduated tints with no problem at all."
Printing Plus's latest investment has also helped it convert clients to four-colour work from spot-colour applications.
"Without doubt, the improved quality and speed of turnaround of the DI press has won us a lot of new business, even in these challenging times, because we can now achieve a much higher level of customer satisfaction in the service we offer," Turner said.
