The official launch of Girls Who Print Europe will take place during a luncheon at Fespa Global Print Expo in Berlin next month.

Founded in 2009 as a LinkedIn group, Girls Who Print quickly became a grassroots initiative supporting women in the traditionally male-dominated printing industry.

In January, the world’s largest network of women in print and graphic communications revealed its formal evolution into a global nonprofit organisation.

It is led by executive director Deborah Corn, VP and program director Kelly Mallozzi, and managing director Pat McGrew.

At Fespa, held from 6 to 9 May at Messe Berlin, Girls Who Print will host a Lunch and Lead event in partnership with Fespa.

Taking place on the first day of the show (Tuesday 6 May) from 12.30-2pm, Girls Who Print said attendees would hear from and engage in roundtable discussions with leaders who are shaping the future of print, gain new perspectives on navigating industry challenges, and discover how Girls Who Print’s programs and resources can empower professionals and strengthen businesses.

The exclusive networking experience is a free event that will be hosted by Corn and Mallozzi alongside Nicole Spencer, managing director of RMC Digital Print and Fespa board member.

Danna Drion, GM, marketing and product management at Mimaki Europe, and Jennifer Kolloczek, senior director of marketing and innovation at Canon EMEA, both of whom are also on the advisory board of Girls Who Print Europe, will also host.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Fespa for supporting Girls Who Print and giving us a global platform to expand our mission,” said Corn.

“Launching Girls Who Print Europe at Fespa 2025 is a major milestone, and we’re proud to align with the Fespa Foundation and its Print For Good initiative. Together, we’re working to empower people and create lasting, positive change for the industry.”

All Fespa attendees and exhibitors are welcome to attend the luncheon although seats are limited to 100 attendees. Registration is available at fespaglobalprintexpo.com.

There will also be a Girls Who Print networking event on Thursday 8 May at 3pm at the Club Fespa area that will enable attendees and exhibitors to connect with Girls Who Print leaders and print professionals from around the world in a casual setting.

Meanwhile, Corn will also be hosting Smart Hub sessions at Fespa, including ‘Lock Down Profits by Selling the Security of Print, and the Power of Personalisation’ on Wednesday 7 May at 2.30pm, and ‘Student Conference: The Power of Print to Wow the World’ on Friday 9 May at 11am.
