Wolverhampton printer William Gibbons & Sons has been named as one of the fastest profit growers in Britain.
The Sunday Times ranked the 134-employee company at number 59 in its Profit Track 100 for firms with the fastest profit growth. The firms profits in 2000 were 3.83m, over 36% up on the previous year, on sales of 14.7m.
Joint managing director Mark Gibbons said: "The market is tight, but weve been doing everything we can. Its having the right kit and the right people."
The firm has invested 5m over recent years in two Komori System 38SII 16pp presses, a Scitex Brisque Impose and a Dolev 800 imagesetter.
Syscap, whose leasing arm, Systems Capital, offers bespoke financial deals for the pre-press sector, was ranked number 10. Its profits grew 89.6% to 3.6m on turnover of 48.7m.
