Polestar has won the 1.5m contract for Neat Ideas monthly office furniture catalogues and stationery, which were formerly produced by Jarrolds.
Polestar Greaves, based in Scarborough, has produced over 2m copies on one of its 96pp KBA Albert high-speed gravure presses with inline stitching.
Bristols Polestar Purnell then personalised the catalogues with customers names, addresses and codes on its Targetbound binding system.
Targetbound is Polestars trademarked perfect binding and saddlestitching system, which can print personalised information in up to four places.
Neat Ideas marketing manager Simon OMahony said the "primary reason" for switching to gravure printing for the first time was price.
"Were certainly not the first to move across, but we changed our catalogue format groupings and felt gravure was more appropriate."
Polestar now holds an initial four-month contract to produce five of Neat Ideas catalogues, which could be extended if all goes well.
"Its obviously a bit of a test for gravures quality at the moment, but so far weve been really pleased with the results they look great. Were also very happy with Polestars sales service," said OMahony.
Neat Ideas, based in Doncaster, is part of French group Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, whose other UK interests include Empire Stores, La Redoute, Rexel and Guilbert. It also owns a 42% stake in Italian fashion company Gucci.
