According to the local fire brigade, a fault with a dryer is believed to have caused the blaze.
Damage was restricted to the end of the press with only the delivery unit, UV drying unit and the coating unit affected.
However, the total extent of the damage is still under review as forensic and Komori engineers continue to investigate the situation.
Jowetts other Lithrone press and all downstream equipment were undamaged and back in full production the same day following a clean-up operation. The press will now be manned 24 hours a day, every day.
The 20 people on site were all safely evacuated.
