The Harrogate-based commercial printer decided said it chose the new guillotine due to its advanced automation and because it was "competitively priced".
Production director Mark Plummer said: "We had purchased a Schneider at an in-plant auction, but had to consider all the options when it became clear the 15-year old machine needed replacing.
"The level of automation we got for a very attractive price was an opportunity that was too good to miss."
The 76 HTV features a 10in colour touchscreen menu and has the ability to store up to 6,000 cut positions within 250 programs.
Platinum Print, which employs 25 staff, also runs a four-colour B2 Komori Spica and a five-colour Komori Lithrone.
