Overmatter: Mmm, chips!

Mmm, chips. And what’s this, printing AND chips? Overmatter’s joy is truly unconfined.

For those of a certain generation, who miss the old tradition of wrapping fish and chips in newsprint, it surely warms the cockles of the heart to see a printing company finding opportunities in providing an alternative solution that meets all the necessary health & safety/EU directives (delete as applicable) for serving food these days.

Indeed, The Gourmet Food Wrap Company, part of Chevler Packaging, has found such success with its ‘Daily Catch’ printed greaseproof paper sheets, that it has now launched them in a smaller sheet size to fit into dinky serving dishes such as mini wire baskets, cones and the like. Such items can probably be found in the sort of ghastly eatery that serves food on a plank, or piece of slate, but no matter. Print is the winner, and that’s the main thing.

Presentation is all, as the experts say. And do be sure to heed this warning from The Gourmet Food Wrap Company’s marketing manager Garry Parker: “Always check that your greaseproof paper is actually natural greaseproof and not chemically treated imitation greaseproof.”
