The product is for CTP and proofing production and is aimed at small to medium-sized commercial printers and repro houses.
Preflow comprises Heidelberg's imposition and workflow software Prinect Signastation 1.5, MetDimension 5 RIP, Adobe Acrobat Profesional and Enfocus Pitstop. The package also includes Heidelberg PDF Toolbox and PC server hardware.
"Preflow is a workflow tool aimed at printers who need more than just a RIP," said Heidelberg UK marketing manager for Prinect workflow, Lance O'Connell.
The package handles CTP, soft and hard output, pre-flighting, PDF creation and editing, job folder structure and Windows XP back-up.
