CreoScitex is launching a range of enhancements to its proofing products, which it claims will give it the most comprehensive range on the market.
The next version of Brisque, version 4, will introduce special colour proofing for the Iris 2Print and 4Print and near-contract quality from the Iris 43Wide imposition proofer.
Without any doubt we will have the most comprehensive proofing range on the market, said Eddy Houba, CreoScitex Europe product marketing manager proofing and CMS.
Brisque 4 will support the Pantone library of special colours following the two firms deal last year. For custom special colours readings can be made with a spectrophotometer and input via Profile Wizard.
Its a long-awaited feature a lot of people asked for, said Houba. Sorting out the agreement with Pantone took the time.
He admitted that the firm had lost sales in the high-end digital contract proof market to DuPont due to the delay. It was the one area where DuPont had an advantage, he said.
Other new features include the ability to drive the Iris 43Wide double-sided imposition proofer at 1,440dpi addressing all six colours, integrating ICC colour management and using the Iris screening used on the iProof.
Its a challenge to the Epson 9000 and the Agfa Sherpa, he said. Customers were asking for a large contract level proof for certain markets.
The new software is in beta testing across Europe with two sites in the UK, including NCS Leeds showroom.
