"It was a case of investing to keep up with the pace of today's market," said managing director Patrick Chard.
"We looked at the capabilities of the other makes but found the 5000 to be the only true contender."
The Milton Keynes-based B3 litho and monochrome digital printer installed the 46,000 5,000bph bookletmaker at the same time as two Konica Minolta DI 850s.
The 11-staff firm, founded by Chard's father in 1949, also runs five- and two-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 52s.
"We're looking to move into digital colour soon and we found the 5000 works well with that too when we tested the line," said Chard.
