Marketing StoreFront Print Edition provides online asset management, customisable collateral and print on demand with full workflow and project management.
"It addresses the challenge printers have right now that production is commoditised," said Mtivity chief executive Patrick Kremer. "Storefront helps move printers up the value chain further up into creative services."
The system can handle working with a corporate customer, its agency and third-party suppliers all within a single environment managed by the printer.
"It's highly automated handling everything down to the job ticket," said Mtivity founder Mat Atkinson. "The print services only has to manage exceptions, everything else is automatically passed through."
Atkinson said that there was interest from medium-sized print firms in particular in brochures and point of sales, which he attributed to "quite broken processes" for marketers in these sectors.
Kall Kwik has been beta testing the software with some of its corporate accounts.
The software, which is hosted by Mtivity as an Applications Service Provider (ASP) so there is no need to install and maintain hardware and manage software with a variety of subscription options. Pricing is based on the number of users at the printer and the number of customers served.
The firm is also launching a print partner programme, which includes sales and marketing support including identifying prospects.
