The event, on 31 March, is geared around learning and providing insights into the latest storefront, 2D and 3D printing technologies, and the potential applications for higher education institutions.
A supplier exhibition takes place at the same time, with representatives from a range of suppliers taking part including Alphatec, Antalis, Betasoft, Canon, Konica Minolta, Lighthouse, Midshire Group, Perfect Colours, Vision, and WL Collers.
“The event is aimed at people from in-plant printing operations, particularly in education, and we will be showcasing high volume 2D print and our 3D print service development at Manchester Metropolitan University,” explained print services manager Paul Squires.
Ed Keefe, 3D manager at Manchester Metropolitan University will make a keynote presentation sharing insights about the university's entry into this area, and Canon will also give a presentation about 3D printing systems.
In addition, there will be a prize draw to win a 3D sculpture by renowned digital sculptor Professor Keith Brown.
Members from ACMPE and APCOM will be attending along with representatives from various purchasing consortia.
