Last year's plans had to be revised twice because of the various restrictions and lockdowns due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it ultimately proved impossible to hold the event during 2020.
The lunch will now take place on Friday 17 September at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
The host for the afternoon will be renowned after-dinner speaker Bob 'The Cat' Bevan, with music from the London Banqueting Orchestra, and the promise of some “sensational close-up magic” provided by award winning magician Peter Wardell and friends.
Humour will be provided by Paul Mayhew-Archer who is a multi-award-winning writer with credits including The Vicar of Dibley and Mrs Brown’s Boys.
Finally, the tenors and divas of Incognito Artists will lead proceedings for the stirring “Last Night of the Proms-style” musical finale.
St George’s Day Luncheon Club chairman Peter Howell said: “The response from the industry has been fantastic but a few tables and places remain. You will be guaranteed a lunch full of fun, laughter and song and at the same time helping us to raise funds for charity.”
The charities being supported this year are NHS Charities Together and Parkinson’s UK.
