Miyakoshi links up with Global Graphics over Harlequin RIPs

Global Graphics has signed an agreement with Miyakoshi Printing Machinery Company to provide multiple Harlequin RIPs to drive its range of inkjet and electro-photographic liquid toner-based presses.

Tokyo-based Miyakoshi has selected the Harlequin Plus Host Renderer, which will allow its devices to print multiple file formats natively including PDF and XPS.

Harlequin, which is headquartered in Cambridge, said that Miyakoshi would be able to vary the number of RIPs used depending on the application and performance requirements, due to the scalability of the Harlequin RIP.

Miyakoshi has also licensed Global Graphics' colour management software, Harlequin ColorPro, which aims to give accurate and consistent colour reproduction.
