Using the company's MBO DataManager software, folding machines can be linked up to a wider range of MIS systems, regardless of their manufacturer.
According to MBO, this has now enabled the integration of its folders into systems supplied by Swedish group Simutek (GKS), the British Technique Group and French company GamSys.
The folding machines, which are supplied in the UK by Friedheim International, can help to "dramatically reduce" set-up times, according to a Friedheim spokesman.
When using its powered pre-setting mode, folding data can be sent directly from its relevant department to the folder, which then automatically adjusts the settings for the order.
The spokesman claimed that this can improve accuracy as it eliminates errors caused by manually entered data.
MBO enables folder integration with variety of MIS systems
Folder manufacturer MBO has increased its JDF integration, which it claims can boost a company's productivity and flexibility when it comes to linking to MIS systems.
