LDP scaling up to meet market demand

Landa boosts top team

Lewis: focus remains on empowering customers with breakthrough technology

Landa Digital Printing has boosted its exec team with the appointment of Simon Lewis as vice president of marketing.

Lewis brings a wealth of industry experience to the role, having begun his career at Scitex in 1994. He went on to work at KBA-Scitex joint venture Karat, before joining HP Indigo in 2006.

He worked at HP for more than 14 years in increasingly senior roles and subsequently spent four years at Highcon, where he was VP of marketing, strategy and business development.

Lewis left Highcon at the end of last year and took three months out for a career break, travelling to South America.

Landa Digital Printing CEO Gil Oron said the business was recruiting “top-tier talent like Simon” as it scales up to meet market demand.

He commented: “We are delighted to welcome Simon to our executive team. His extensive industry expertise and marketing acumen will be invaluable in driving our business forward.”

Lewis said he was excited to join Landa Digital Printing at such an important time for the company, which came out of last year’s Drupa with a burgeoning order book.

“The demand for our Landa S11 and S11P presses underscores the industry's shift toward high-quality, high-speed digital production to meet its many challenges,” Lewis said.

“But beyond technology, our true mission is to help our customers seize new opportunities, overcome challenges and drive profitable growth. As a result, our focus remains on empowering customers with breakthrough technology that delivers offset-quality printing with digital versatility and efficiency.”

He will be based at LDP’s headquarters in Rehovot, Israel.

Landa Digital Printing’s core products currently are the Landa S11 and S11P B1 sheetfed Nanographic inkjet presses, which print at 6,500sph or 11,200sph with the 11k high-speed module, or at 3,250sph or 5,600sph when perfecting.

The W11 web-fed press for flexible packaging remains on its product roadmap.

The firm originally launched at Drupa 2012 and was founded by industry innovator Benny Landa, also the founder of Indigo.
