The company claimed that IntegraVision Discovery is the industry's first integrated solution for variable data, print quality and barcode inspection and grading.
IntegraVision Discovery includes innovations including ‘golden template’ matching, which compares each image to an ideal reference image.
It uses a high-resolution linescan camera technology to image 100% of the print produced, at speeds of up to 1,000 feet per minute.
Lake Image Systems also claimed that the system can detect print errors in real time, such as streaks and voids, out-of-position and out-of-alignment images, controlled document verification and proof checking of documents prepared in languages such as Mandarin, Kanji, Hebrew, and Arabic.
Lake Image Systems UK managing director Martin Keats said: "As new digital print technologies combine variable-data capabilities with high quality colour processes, it is important that our IntegraVision platform can address the various inspections requirements.
"IntegraVision Discovery combines variable data integrity verification with barcode grading and full print quality inspection. This comprehensive functionality now enables our clients to implement common inspection technologies for all their cut sheet and continuous print and finishing processes."
