According to the company, IntegraVision PQ matches all pages printed on a web, comparing each page to an ideal image. It can run at speeds of 305m per minute.
The company said the system would provide commercial printers and label manufacturers with consistent repeatability. It is being aimed at companies dealing in, or wishing to move into, the pharmaceutical, medial, and food packaging markets.
Errors that can be detected using PQ include streaks and voids and out-of-position and out-of-alignment images. It can also be used to proof check documents prepared in languages as diverse as Mandarin, Kanji, Hebrew, and Arabic.
The company has also recently launched a new toolset for IntegraVision, which it claims tackles the challenge of barcode grading to international standards such as ISO/IEC15416:2000.
Lake Image's new toolset includes high resolution camera technology to capture large-format images of key fields on a label or narrow web providing 100% quality and integrity assurance for both variable data and barcodes.
