Javelin falls to administrators

Merseyside-based brochure and catalogue printer Javelin Printers UK went into administration on 6 July with the loss of 51 jobs.

"Whether we can keep it going to effect a sale of the business remains to be seen," said joint administrator Henry Shinners of Smith & Williamson.

The business was to continue to operate with 19 staff. It went into administration after running out of cash and its undisclosed backer placed it in administration. The firm had a turnover of 4.5m for the 12 months to April 2004.
