MPGi subsidiary Spin Offset calls in administrators

Essex-based Spin Offset has gone into administration with the loss of 13 jobs.

Chris Sanders of Baker Tilly was appointed as administrator to the company, a subsidiary of MPG Impressions (MPGi), on 5 January.

In a statement from Baker Tilly, it confirmed that "they had to close the business and wind it down" with the loss of 13 positions at the South Ockenden printer.

The statement added that the major assets of the business were on a hire purchase agreement and that although a sale as a going concern was unlikely, "could not rule it out".

MPGi, which bought the business last year, confirmed that Spin Offset had been placed into administration but declined to comment further.
