Inveresk non-executive director Brian MacDonald has resigned from the board to focus on his other interests outside the industry.
His departure follows the appointment of Ken Minton as executive chairman (see p19), with MacDonald having put himself forward for the chairmans role back in February.
"Brian felt he would rather concentrate on his other business activities, but did not feel he could not have worked with Minton," said finance director Gerard Cassels.
The appointment of Minton has also received approval from Klippan Paper chairman Jan Bernander, who controls a 22% stake in the company.
"Apparently he feels Ken is someone he can definitely work with," said Cassels.
