Follows Bucks contract win

FDM wins Oxford Council electoral contract

Forster: Cause for celebration as FDM wins Oxford Council elections contract

Mailing print firm FDM Document Solutions has won a three-year contract to print and mail electoral material for Oxford Council, just weeks after clinching a deal for Buckinghamshire’s election work.

FDM will supply Oxford’s postal voting packs, including postal vote statements, ballot paper envelopes, and outgoing and return envelopes for the council’s 55,200 households, and 165,200 residents.

The documents will be provided for elections, by-elections, and neighbourhood plan referenda.

FDM sales and marketing director Ian Forster told Printweek: “Once again there is cause for celebration at FDM Document Solutions. The efforts of the team cannot be underestimated as we announce that we will be working with Oxford Council just weeks after securing the contract with Buckinghamshire Council.

“These wins are in no small part made possible thanks to the relationships we have, but also the investment we have made into equipment. This has given us the capacity and capability that we need. As a preferred partner to more than 65 councils, we look forward to building on this success.”

FDM produces its print in-house on the firm’s Canon ColorStream 3900 Z inkjet presses, with a pair of 2023 Bowe Fusion Cross high-speed production mail inserters together able to process up to 48,000 envelopes an hour.

In November 2024, the firm was appointed to the government’s G-Cloud 14 (lot 2) framework, securing its position as a preferred supplier of cloud software to the public sector.

Earlier this year, FDM also completed an audit process to achieve FSC Chain of Custody certification for FSC-STF-40-004 (3.1) EN and FSC-STD-50-001 (2.1) EN.
