Inspired Forms moves into first print facility

Inspired Forms, the business born out of the closure of business forms printer Rediset Business Forms, has moved into its first printing facility after taking on all of Rediset's kit.

However, Inspired Forms owner Roy Floyd said that only half of the machinery would be used by the company and he is now seeking a buyer for the redundant kit.

After Poole-based Rediset closed its doors last month, Inspired Forms was formed as a sole trader business by Floyd on behalf of three former employees at Rediset.

Initially, the company operated as a print manager, serving Rediset's customers using a supplier base of local printers.

However, at a creditors' meeting on 26 August, at which point Rediset went into liquidation with Stringer and Co, Floyd made an offer to purchase the company's kit.

Inspired Forms has since installed an Imer 120 four-colour press at its new facility, with a Miyakoshi four-colour press, a Bielomatik collator and a Wohlenberg guillotine with a Bourg pad gluer to follow in the coming weeks. Floyd said he expected the business to begin taking work as of next Tuesday (14 September).

A second Imer four-colour, a second Bielomatik collator, another Bourg guillotine, a Sanden collator and a hot-melt padding machine are all up for sale.

Floyd said: "We were advised that we would more likely be successful in getting the kit we wanted if we put in a bid for all of it. Obviously, there is a lot we don't want so I am now looking to sell that on.

"The industry is moving from litho to digital and that is where we would like to move next. At the moment we can't afford it, but hopefully we can pick a machine up next year."

He added that once the machines were up and running, Inspired Forms intended to employ three former Rediset staff at the new site.
