Imation launched Express Web, an internet-based file transfer system, at TPG.
Files are sent to a central server, where they are stored for three days with the recipient receiving e-mail notification that a file is waiting similar to the way Vio worked.
The service, at www.imation-expressweb.com, is available on a pay-per-click basis or a monthly fee.
Express Web is "an important missing link in allowing our customer base to fully exploit our pre-press and digital asset management solutions," said Jean-Marc Laigle, managing director of Imation Color Technologies Europe.
Imation Europe has entered into a five-year agreement with Montreal-based Cenosis, through which Cenosis KangaCom will power Express Web.
