Tokens uses e-mail to send recipients a shortcut or token that, once clicked on, downloads a file from the senders computer or server.
It is designed to send any type of file, but its ideal application is sending files over 2MB for the creative market, according to Creo.
The receiver can choose whether or not to download a file based on their location, internet connection and the size of file.
It is a much simpler technique of file sharing than its nearest rival, ftp. Files are encrypted and compressed for security and fast downloading. Once a Token has been created it is impossible to access the contents of the file without a Token.
Software to create and send tokens is available to run on individual machines or on a server. Token Creator costs 30, while Token Server costs 395.
To download a Token users need to download Token Redeemer from Creos website.
