HSM launches packaging-specific bailer

Bailing equipment manufacturer HSM has launched a packaging-specific machine.

The HSM V-Press 860 has a pressing power of 532 kN and features low-noise and energy-saving technology.

According to German manufacturer HSM, the machine is the most economical and ecological solution for any type of waste disposal.

The company is aiming the machine at the packaging market, as it can handle packaging material such as cardboard and foil thanks to stable press ram guidance.

It also features flexible and fixed retaining claws, optimising material compression and reducing the number of filling processes.

HSM has also included an automation feature that starts the machine when the doors are closed and stops the job when they are opened, while the machine is equipped with a double door and a hydraulic door lock.

Bales reach a weight of up to 460kg regardless of the material and are bound four-fold with wire strapping as a standard, although polyester strapping is also available as an option.

Profiles, in the bale ejection door, in the filling hatch and in the press ram, form recesses in the bales, which eradicate the need for pallets.
