It is the first time that the short-run specialist's products have had their own presence on the web.

According to Duplo, the move was made after a number of sales milestones. In November Duplo sold the 800th powered guillotine since becoming UK distributor for Ideal in 2006.

Angela Osborne, UK trade manager, said: "Since we took over the Ideal distributorship we have achieved so much.

"We felt that it was important that there is a dedicated website, designed for printers, to understand the history of the brand and the quality of manufacturing that comes as standard from their manufacturing plant in Balingen, Germany."

Duplo and Ideal have also said that they will be exhibiting together at Ipex 2010. Among machines on show will be the latest Ideal, the 4250 guillotine with electronic clamping and blade drive.
