HP 3050 bumps up Imagewise orders

An investment in new HP Indigo kit has boosted interest from buyers in digital print firm Imagewise.

The Eastleigh-based firm, which counts Dolce & Gabbana (D&G) and Tag Heuer among its clients, has attracted a 15% increase in additional work from existing clients, according to Imagewise sales manager Marieke Vallance. The company installed a new HP Indigo 3050, which has been operational for the past six weeks.

"Clients are looking at doing far more sophisticated and personalised mailers and I think this is very much the way the market is going," said Vallance.

Around 90% of Imagewise's business is with marketing and graphics agencies. The other 10% is with corporate customers including Norwich Union Healthcare.

Imagewise will produce point of sale (POS) material for D&G. This includes show cards, which go into Debenhams and airports. It also produces PR and marketing material. Imagewise is contracted by D&G's agency The Ground Crew.

"We have used Imagewise for all our digital work over the past three years," said The Ground Crew director Adam Steel. "The installation of the HP Indigo 3050 can only be good news for us."

This summer HP was actively targeting marketing agencies to show what could be done through digital printing. It attracted 20 agencies at an event in central London (PrintWeek, 3 June).

The Indigo 3050 replaces Imagewise's HP Indigo TurboStream, which it's had for the last five years.
