According to managing director Kevin Assinder, the 250,000 digital press will produce a raft of short-run, high-quality corporate brochures as well as personalised material.
"We have found quite a good market where customers want high-quality brochures but in small quantities and produced quickly," said Assinder.
He added that the original strategy was to print largely one-to-one marketing campaigns on the 3050. But since installation the focus has shifted with increased demand.
"We have been busier than we thought we would be," said Assinder. "As a company we are expanding our ranges."
The decision to buy the HP Indigo 3050 was based on the quality of the press on various substrates.
"We needed to find a press that had a litho feel and look," added Assinder. "We looked at all the prime players including Xerox and NexPress. But we went for the 3050 because it gave the best results on a range of substrates."
CPC produces CD and DVD sleeves as well as promotional print. It has a full-time workforce of 18 and a turnover of 2m.
The company's promotional arm was set up at the end of last year due to client demand.
