Hopefuls enter 2004 awards

The first entries for the PrintWeek Awards 2004 have arrived and the Grosvenor Houses Great Room tables are filling fast.

The PrintWeek Awards are the most respected in the industry and are the only ones to recognise both print quality and business performance for companies of all sizes and disciplines.

Categories range from labels to direct mail in the "quality" awards section and from pre-press to finishing in the "performance" section. This year we have extended our greetings card category to include all producers of social stationery.

A team of more than 20 professional print buyers will assess quality, while chartered accountants with expertise in the print sector will judge business performance. The judges picked some attractive businesses in 2003: Astron group acquired reigning Printing Company of the Year, Edotech, earlier this month and Pre-Press Company of the Year, Graphic Facilities, was bought by Wyndeham Press Group.

The deadline for entries is 16 July and the ceremony takes place on 18 October at Grosvenor House. For entry kits and tickets visit: www. printweek.com or call Sam Graham on 020 8267 4145.
