KPMG was appointed to the Castle Donington-based pre-press dealer on Wednesday afternoon (2 October).
Joint administrative receiver Allan Graham said the firm had experienced trading losses over the past few months. He has already made 17 of its 28 staff redundant.
He will trade the business as normal while actively seeking a buyer.
AB Dick picked up the Presstek UK dealership after Presstek became unhappy with GOP's service levels and market coverage (PrintWeek, 27 September).
GOP UK's last filed accounts, to 31 March 2000, showed a pre-tax loss of 8,358, although it didn't disclose its sales.
