The colour management specialist said that the combination of its software with the Mimaki flatbed inkjet printer, which started shipping in February 2010, was ideal for packaging proofs, prototypes and short-run production.
The Mimaki UJF-706 can handle materials up to 150mm thick and has a print area of 700x600mm. It also features a roll-to-roll option for flexible media in addition to rigid sheets and items.
It features extremely resistant inks as well as varnish for special effects and simulating embossing on a wide range of substrates. GMG said the bundle was aimed at design agencies, repro houses and printers, as well as brand owners in the packaging and label markets.
