The UJF-706 can handle larger and thicker substrates than the current UJF-605CII and runs at twice the speed.
"We believe that our customers will gain decisive advantages with the UJF-706, which caters to industrial applications," said Mimaki industrial printing business unit manager Kazuyuki Takeuchi. "Its exceptional print quality and features call for new applications to be developed or be transferred from screen printing."
Quality has been improved with a spray suppressor system that prevents satellite ink drops and a four-point optical positioning system for centering print in small objects. Materials up to 150mm thick can be handled - three times thicker than the capabilities of older machines, and the print area has been extended from 600x500mm to 700x600mm. Substrate flexibility has been further improved with a roll-to-roll option for flexible media in addition to rigid sheets and items.
The machine supports simultaneous printing of four colours plus white for use on transparent and coloured substrates and can also produce a high-gloss finish. Hard and flexible inks are available to suit different substrates.
