Face Creative earns FSC and PEFC awards

Digital printer Face Creative Services has responded to customer demand and gained FSC and PEFC accreditation.

The London-based company said that getting the accreditations was "the only way forward", especially for digital printers.

Steve Hars, sales and marketing director at the £3m-turnover business, said: "We are using FSC and PEFC in all our sales and marketing literature and every company will need to be conscious of reinforcing their environmental credentials.

"A major upside of gaining these accreditations was working closely with Time Harvest, the supplier of our quoting system, which has left us with arguably the best digital print MIS, quoting and stock management system available."

He added the accreditation process was "very stringent" for the company to maintain chain of custody.

He said: "However, I have no way of judging how stringent FSC and PEFC are with our clients and other users, nor how they police non-conformity."

The 30-staff company has also recently gained ISO 9001.

Hars said: "We are continually investing and intend to maintain our investment to stay at the top end of digital print market.

"Currently we are actively seeking new clients and consolidating our existing customers, but not necessarily new markets."
