A large amount of the Leicester-based company’s work involves producing brochures, folders, stationery and leaflets for government organisations, such as the NHS, councils and universities.
Managing director Richard Linnett said: "This is the best way to go in terms of helping the environment. It was a decision easily made from our point of view, as our customers were increasingly demanding FSC- and PEFC-approved papers."
Anchor has also recently started to offer Howard Smith’s Carbon Balanced environmentally friendly paper to its customers, which it said had generated "an incredibly high uptake".
Sales at the company have grown by 23% in the past two years and Linnett said he was keen to expand on this in years to come.
He added: "We’ve already grown by 14% this year and we’re looking to put in another B2 press to increase our output and take on new work."
