Supplied by Quality Print Services (QPS), the dye-sub printers were installed at the Falkirk-based company’s 232sqm premises around a month ago.

The Texart XT-640 can print up to 1,440dpi at speeds up to 63sqm/hr and is suitable for applications including sportswear, fashion, soft signage, interior decoration and promotional merchandise.

QPS specified EventureWorks’ machines with Nazdar’s NDT600 Series bulk ink systems, which are said to deliver high print density for strong, vibrant prints with less ink required to achieve these results.

The company had previously been operating five older Roland DG models, one of which has been sold on, with the others retained for now as backup.

EventureWorks director Brian Gibb said: “We moved into new premises in March 2019 and realised that our machines were taking up a lot of space so we thought we could halve the footprint by upgrading to these faster machines.

“They’ve been good so far and have been running flat out for the last couple of weeks. We have pretty much trebled our output which means that we can respond quicker.”

He added: “We were happy to go with Roland again because we trust their machines as well as QPS themselves, who we’ve dealt with for around 20 years and whose service we are totally happy with.”

EventureWorks, which also operates under The Cycle Jersey brand, specialises in custom-printed cycle jerseys made to its customers’ own designs, as well as supplying limited edition jerseys created with the permission of the relevant company or artist.

The four-staff company, which also runs kit from HP and Epson, serves B2B and B2C customers as well as teams and individuals ordering directly from its e-commerce platform.
