Eggbox Graphics bought a Duplo DC445 creaser, Ideal 5222 guillotine, Duplo DF1000 Suction folder and an SRW wiro binder from Renz.
According to managing director Chris Turner, the purchase has reduced the company's reliance on other finishers, as well as opened up new opportunities.
He said: "We bought a Xerox DC260 when we first started up and it had finishing capabilities. But increasingly we have been asked about other services. Since the new machines have come in we can now do ticket stubs and we have also started doing football programmes.
"We have also been able to tap into the Christmas card market."
Eggbox Graphics was started in 2007 by brothers Chris and Matt Turner. They, along with their mother, previously ran a weather vane manufacturer.
The company, which now employs five people, brought in £15,000 in its first year, but Chris Turner told PrintWeek that his company would be aiming for £500,000 this year.
He added: "It is going quite well. Printing now takes up almost 100% of our time. People are often sceptical of a new start up, but we have tried to market ourselves as a professional outfit."
