The Washington-based business, which specialises in the production of vehicle graphics and liveries, opted for the dual-CMYK configuration of the printer cutter earlier this year to cope with steady growth at the business.
Mark Taylor, director at DVLC, said the VS-640 investment enables the business to rely on consistent and accurate colour "at the highest throughput speeds - absolutely vital to us is that the machine can cut accurately".
Despite launching with both metallic and white ink options, the appeal of the 1.62m-wide machine to DVLC was the ability to offer dual-CMYK printing.
Helen Taylor, director at the business added: "Because we print bi-directionally using dual CMYK, we’re able to output many jobs in what is essentially a draft mode, resulting in very fast throughput rates.
"The new arrangement of the print-head and inks in this machine means there’s no banding even at the highest speed and lowest resolution, with solid vibrant colours and smooth graduated tints. The time savings are significant, with no compromise on end quality."
DVLC offers a range of print services including the production of vehicle display graphics, pop-up and roll-up banners, posters and window graphics.
