The machine, which can print at top speeds of up to 23.1sqm an hour, features a dual CMYK ink configuration that is claimed to help output "unrivalled colour consistency".
Available for £10,999 the VersaArt RE-640 is suitable for a range of indoor and outdoor applications such as posters, banners, signs, vehicle and wall graphics as well as backlit displays.
Capable of maximum print resolutions of 1,440dpi, the piezo inkjet wide-format printer can be paired with a Camm-1 GX series vinyl cutter.
This enables the production of contour cut graphics for point-of-purchase, vehicle wraps, labels and decal applications.
Roland DG (UK) technical director Brett Newman said the VersaArt printer has been manufactured to provide "high-speed printing and impressive colour reproduction" at an affordable price point.
He added: "Sign shops and print providers will appreciate the performance features, versatility and outstanding overall value offered by our eco-solvent RE-640.
"It offers the fast production environment a balance between speed and quality that is unmatched at this price point in the UK."
