Classic Lines Plus Signs buys Roland VersaCamm

Sign and banner printer Classic Lines Plus Signs (CLPS) has installed a Roland VersaCamm VS-640 print and cut machine, and already put it to work.

The press, which features metallic ink capabilities, was used to produce a new sign for local pub The Railway Inn in Mansfield.

CLPS produced a 700x1100mm double-sided sign using the VS-640 with Oracal 351 polyester film and incorporating the metallic ink, which produced a strong gold for the rail design and lettering.

Nichola Johnson, who runs CLPS with her parents Pete and Sylvia Colman, said: "Producing the new sign for The Railway Inn was a typical example of how we can incorporate the latest technologies into a traditional application by adding metallic ink."

The VersaCamm VS series comprises four model sizes of 1.62m, 1.37m, 1.07m and 0.76m in width. The range is also available in three different ink versions - CMYKLcLm plus metallic and white, a standard six-colour palette of CMYKLcLm or as a dual CMYK option.

CLPS started out specialising in customised vehicle striping, but now offers a wide range of products including displays, canvas prints, promotional goods, garments, engraved items and stickers.
