The Edenbridge, Kent-based company has invested in a new UV Digicoater from finishing equipment manufacturer Morgana.
Turning to UV is fast becoming a trend as companies seek to follow the 'environmentally friendly route' of UV.
Last week, PrintWeek reported that lamination manufacturer Autobond would be producing a substantially larger number of UV machines by this time next year.
This latest development by Dialogue Solutions, which is part of the Howitt Group, finalises a two-month £400,000 kit spend, which also includes a Xerox iGen3 and an MB folder, also from Morgana. Dialogue Solutions already runs four Xerox digital printers.
Vincent Gidley, group operations director at Dialogue, said the main reason for buying the DigiCoater was to offer an alternative to lamination.
He explained: "Offering our customers UV coating is offering our client base an enhanced product with either a gloss or a matt aspect, and it makes digital a lot more durable as well. It’s more user friendly and a lot greener than lamination."
Dialogue Solutions, which has about 40 staff, handles print runs ranging from a couple of hundred to more than 100,000 for clients that include RBS, the RSPB and pizza chain Dominos.
The company’s existing kit includes Xerox 2060, 800 and 135 print machines, a second iGen, plus a Horizon stitcher, KBA system and XMPi software.
