The software behaves like a traditional FTP with a few differences, including WAN transfer speeds up to seven times faster, tolerance for up to 50% packet loss and 20,000 milliseconds of latency, plus built-in bandwidth management capabilities.
James Lewis, managing director of Pro2col, said: "Many businesses are happy with their present file transfer processes but struggle when it comes to sending larger files over greater distances and everybody wants the data faster."
Seth Noble, president and founder of Data Expedition, added: "Global file transfer is a severe challenge for legacy technologies.
"Together, Data Expedition and Pro2col will help UK and European businesses accelerate communications with their partners and offices in the Middle East, Asia and the US."
The software costs from £3,995 and Pro2col will be offering a discount of 20% on the first five copies sold. Demos are available both online and on-site.
Lewis said: "Upon evaluating ExpeDat we were really excited, as we knew we'd identified the ideal solution for these companies that would really address the problems businesses were having with their existing FTP server set-ups.
The distribution deal brings a second new high-speed file transfer technology to the UK in as many months, after Turning Point Integration (TPI) signed a deal in April with Canada-based Unilimi-Tech Software for its file transfer tool, File Catalyst.
