Coup for Durst as 16-head Rho hits Kolorcraft

Kolorcraft has become the first UK company to take delivery of a 16-head Durst Rho 205/16 flatbed ink-jet printer.

The company, based in Ossett near Wakefield, will also be the beta site for Durst's 205/32-head machine next year. The latest addition is also the first Durst Rho for Kolorcraft.

"The 16-head Rho is currently being installed and should be up and running in the next fortnight," said Kolorcraft business development director Paul Towers. "It will be very good for banner work as it prints on a wider range of substrates at a depth of two metres."

The Rho's other functions include auto-spooling for automatic unmanned processing of orders and a three-roll magazine for fast material changeover.

"It fills the gap between our screen and roll-fed digital work," said Towers.

He added that the new 32-head model would "quadruple" production speed.

Kolorcraft, which specialises in point-of-purchase material with clients including Morrisons, Comet, New Look, Boots, Debenhams and Lancme, celebrates it sliver anniversary this year.
