The Rho 350R is a 3.5m-wide printer, 1.05m wider than the Rho 600 which was launched six months ago.
The printer comprises 16 Quadro Arrays and is capable of printing at a resolution of 400-600dpi at a speed of up to 120sqm per hour.
Durst unveiled the printer at Viscom Italia, and it will be available from the second quarter of 2006.
"Due to the strict environmental regulations across Europe, and the low cost of uncoated media that can be printed with UV inks, the UV ink-jet printing process will, sooner or later, replace solvent printers in the large-format professional market," said Durst's chief executive Richard Piock.
