The Fareham-based company bought a beta .c.220 for its B1 Lithrone GL40 six-colour plus coater.
Operations manager Bill Thomas said: "Having the ink and dampening controls in a single unit has made an enormous difference to the energy usage and helps us reduce our carbon footprint – an issue we take very seriously.
"This unit controls temperature and ensures that our quality and productivity is optimised, and that the ink-water balance is correct. It means that the ink tack is exactly right and the dampening clean and cool for the best printed results."
All beta.c units are equipped with a softflow filtration system. A contamination sensor signals when a filter change is required, while fresh water and dampening solution drain points allow easy cleaning.
