Color By purchases quartet of HP presses

Italian printer Color By has bought four HP machines, including two Designjet L65500 models, in order to boost its digital capabilities.

The 15-staff company, based near Milan, produces general digital commercial, grand-format and exhibition products, and has installed an HP Indigo 7000, two HP Designjet L65500 machines and a Designjet L25500.

The company already runs an Indigo 3050 but needed to boost its production capacity in order to meet growing demand from its commercial and photographic clients.

According to managing director Carlo Bai, with the recession easing, it seemed the right time to renew its production lines and take a more aggressive approach to the market.

"Only businesses that are able to offer a truly competitive combination of high quality and technology will succeed in taking advantage of these commercial opportunities," he said.

"We like the fact that HP adopts a holistic production workflow approach. Also important is HP's commercial image.

"All the key players in our sector, from designers and agencies to traditional printers, recognise HP as the leading supplier of digital printing technology," he added.
