GATF will work with CIP4s Interoperability and other working groups to develop certification methods for printing and pre-press software, systems and equipment. Members of CIP4 are developing Interoperability Conformance Specifications (ICS) to provide a standard for individual classes of equipment.
GATF executive vice president George Ryan said that the agreement would enable the organisation to play a key role in printings evolution.
Several manufacturers have already contributed JDF-enabled products to GATF and weve been impressed by what weve learned so far, said Ryan.
