Spanish manufacturer Bagel Systems has unveiled the Digifav B3, a new double-sided thermal digital laminator engineered for the B3 format.

Distributed in the UK by Duplo UK, the Digifav B3 is designed to blend speed with performance, with production rates of up to 2,000 sheets per hour (SRA3).

Capable of handling sheets in weights from 130-450gsm and with a minimum format of 210x297mm through to a maximum of 380x700mm, the Digifav B3 features an advanced digital hot foil stamping capability, with its integrated multifunctional Digital Hot-Stamp Module.

As well as replicating metallic and holographic finishes, the system also introduces spot matt and spot super gloss varnish effects.

Duplo UK said this process was driven by high-performance oil heated rollers that ensured even heat distribution and temperature retention, while a robust pneumatic pressure system, exerting up to 101N/mm of pressure, guaranteed permanent, consistent foil adhesion.

Additionally, precise sheet overlap is managed by an intelligent frontal stops registration system while a cooling system and a micro-perf wheel that accurately perforates the laminating film was said to ensure “flawless separation” at the overlap every time.

Craig Harry, head of sales at Duplo UK, said: “The Digifav B3 DS is as intuitive as it is innovative. Its user-friendly touchscreen interface, combined with features like auto-start and rapid film loading, minimises downtime and maximises creative output.

“Coupled with top-tier safety features – including CE compliance and continuous monitoring – this laminator ensures both outstanding performance and a secure working environment.

“This machine’s blend of speed, precision, and ease of use is exactly what modern printers need to elevate their production and embrace the future of digital printing.”

Pricing for the new machine has not been disclosed by Duplo UK.

Separately, Duplo has promoted Marine Kerivel-Brown to global marketing director to strengthen its worldwide vision.

Kerivel-Brown had previously led Duplo International’s marketing strategy across EMEA and, in her expanded role, she will extend her influence worldwide, collaborating closely with Duplo Corporation and Duplo Seiko in the US and Japan to unify and amplify the brand’s marketing strategy on a global scale.
