The contract, which will be ongoing, was awarded after a short tender process that commenced in January this year.
A team of around five personnel from Charterhouse will handle the account.
Powergen is also understood to be keen to expand Charterhouse into handling other areas of its business.
Previously the direct marketing was handled by several agencies, with some managed in-house.
This latest coup follows Charterhouses success in securing the handling of all the collateral for the relaunch of The AirMiles Travel Company last year (PrintWeek, 27 November 2003).
