More than 100 employees at the hybrid mail company’s Radstock offices were vaccinated in one day by Nomad Travel. Directors were the first to receive their shots, with other staff having their injections in shifts across the day.

Participants also received an orange and a bar of chocolate to sweeten the deal.

CFH managing director Adam Harwood said: “We are the biggest provider of print and post for GPs and every year we send out flu vaccination clinic letters and reminders for over 4,000 practices.

“We are very clear about the importance of flu vaccinations as a preventative measure and we think it’s important to allow staff to receive their jab in work time.

“At CFH this has become a big social event and gives us an opportunity for everyone to get together, to not only ensure they stay well through the winter and over Christmas, but also to protect their family and friends.

“We’re mindful that our GP practices and A&E departments are under huge pressures and this goes a small way towards helping.”

Alongside vaccinating its staff, CFH is running its Flu Hero competition, which recognises the contributions of practice staff across the UK to increase uptake of flu vaccines.
